Do you feel as if you’re in dementia caregiving crisis mode? I get it. I lived it. And, I have several ways to help you get your quality of life back.

I work with you to get out of crisis mode and build a dementia caregiving plan on each call. You can refer to this plan throughout your loved one’s multi-year dementia journey.

On these calls, I provide the following to help you get out of dementia crisis mode:

  • Offer compassionate, easy-to-implement guidance and solutions based on experience
  • Help reduce your loved one’s resistance and frustration by enhancing and refining your dementia communications skills with both your loved one and family members
  • Provide resource options, and other services to help you and your family make the best decisions you can for your loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s
  • If you so desire, create a phased plan, based on quantifiable criteria, so you know how and when to prepare for each phase of the journey

I am here for you, the Dementia or Alzheimer’s family member and caregiver. I am your lifeline for:

  • Transitioning your loved one from one phase to the next, which may be from in-home care to a senior care community

  • Facilitating family conversations about your loved one with dementia

  • Helping resolve conflicts and resistance when things aren’t going the way you thought they should

  • Ensuring you’re aware of the Financial and Healthcare documentation to minimize your loved one’s and your exposure to state-run attorneys

  • Learning effective emotional coping skills and tools specific to having a family member with dementia or Alzheimer’s so you can handle the emotional rollercoaster better.

  • Guiding dementia communication with your loved one and family

Pam Ostrowski is amazing. She is my best friend, my therapist, my guide, my rock, my bridge over troubled waters!  I just met Pam a month ago, yet I feel I have known her all my life.  She is wise, compassionate, funny, direct – just what the doctor did not order in my struggle with my husband’s Alzheimer’s.  Her tips [such as tell, don’t ask] are invaluable.  For the first time in a very long time, I do not feel alone.  I could not ask for a better companion on this difficult journey.  Pam Ostrowski is the best! ~Linda Mayer, Chicago
